The Monex e-business solution enables businesses that are expanding internationally to sell online in foreign currencies without foreign exchange risks. From a customer-service point of view, it enables customers to purchase goods or services in their local currency, while the supplier may receive payment in the currency of their choice.
Monex Financial Services comprises of four key business units:
- Multi-currency card processing at point of sale.
- Multi-currency card processing for e-commerce and mail / telephone order.
- Monex bank to bank treasury
- Tax refunding.
In September 1999, Monex Financial Services won the state contract for processing multi-currency transactions including VAT refunds at over 2,000 retail outlets in Israel. Congratulating the company the Tanaiste (Deputy Irish Prime Minister) Ms. Mary Harney, said:
